The JSA

The DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) is the only connection between North and South Korea.
The DMZ is about 248 km (155 miles) long and about 4 km (2.5 miles) wide and the most heavily militarized border in the world.

how to get thereYou can take a tour from Soul to the DMZ and the JSA (Joint Security Area).
It takes about one hour and includes a Korean style lunch.
The bus drops you in the JSA, where you have to change to a military bus and sign some papers "In case of a kidnapping or death...." that the tour operator and the Military don't take responsibility and there you go into the JSA.

Its a guided tour from there and you are able to visit the conference Room and step "into north Korea". Everything is watched by the North Korean Military, so they also might take pictures of you if you visit the JSA.

Taipei in one day

Before you start, buy a one-day Pass for the metro and bus.
There are a few things to do in Taipei. If you are on a short visit here I can recommend you a one day Sight seen trip.
Start to visit Taipei 101, because its not so crowded in the morning. Take the subway to the city Hall Station. Taipei 101 is that landmark from Taiwan. One of the tallest building in the world. Go to the observatory deck, (400 NTD) to get a nice view over Taipei City.
Next stop Shilin and the National Place Museum. Take the bus from Shilin Station to the museum. Spend a few hours there and then go back to the Centre. Next stop, the C.K.S. Memorial Hall.
If you want to go shopping now, head to Ximen, the heart of the city. Some shops are open until midnight.
One day, and you have seen the most famous places in Taipei. But there are much more things to see and do like the midnight market, Temples, Danshui Boat Waft, the Lake Scenic area, Taipei Zoo, Museums etc…
